India faces multiple challenges in the field of health sciences. We have to find our own approaches & strategies to deal with this scenario . Young medical students need to be confidently equipped with the right kind of research skills in order to develop a problem solving ability. Providing a platform to these budding researches was the main objective of our national conference.
Theme this year “ Towards A Healthier India “. Communication to this effect & invitation for research papers were send to various Medical Colleges.

A total of 144 students & 2 staff from various Medical Colleges of India registered for the Conference.
Programme Schedule Day 1
9.30 – 10.15 am : Registration
10.15-11.30 am : Inauguration
Inaugural session began at sharp 10.15 am. The gathering was welcomed by the College Principal Dr. Ramdas Pisharody. Dr. Geetha.V, DME, Kerala delivered the presidential address. Dr. Gangan Prathap, Vice Chancellor. of CUSAT inaugurated the function. The felicitation of the ceremony was done by Dr. Ramankutty, Prof. SCIMST, Dr. Rajnohanan, Ass. Prof. of Peadiatrics, SAT & Ms. Rohini Ramamoorthy, students representative.
Inaugural session was followed by the plenary session which saw the presentations of eminent Doctors on various topics.

The day ended with cultural programmes & dinner.
Day 2 saw the various scientific paper presentations. Four venues where 3 sessions each were held. The student researchers had to present his/her paper in front of a chain comprising of 3 eminent judges.

- Discussion & Critical Retrospection.
- Presentation.
There were about 10 paper presentations in each session. A total of 12 Best Paper Awards were given. Award Winning Papers

He also distributed the awards for best paper presentations. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Sudharmini, Assistant Professor, Medical Entomology.
The Conference was a success based on the participation & feedback by students from all over India.
